Call me Rune.
I'll try to keep this as updated and art-related as possible, but this is my main blog so expect (minimal) reblogs, chatting, and fun tags that could be a whole separate conversation.
Rune Cat #18747 (Aywas)
A while ago I posted this and ofc it didn’t pass copyright so I decided to do the next best thing: make two versions! The original didn’t pass because of the colors, so I changed it to be Asch a Kimlascan soldier. I also asked if taking the mask off would let me keep the colors and the answer was maybe, so I took it off and gave my baby the most fitting expression I could think of. I also fixed up the hair a bit and added gloves.
IT’S DONE. It’s so done that I don’t have anything witty left to say. Enjoy the blatant editing out of my name, the zero-effort back cover (except that killer drawing of Noel’s toque!), and the barcode that had to be resized like a hundred times because it was 72ppi when everything else is 300ppi.
Alright that’s it. I’m shit at color palettes so I mashed this together and this is how it’s gonna stay. (Thanks for the reply on my other post btw, Hikaru!)
I’ve also added in the bleed area and figured out my font. I must be really tired because I didn’t think the black was that thick as I was working on it…
Edit: Okay I’ve figured it out. Since I used layer styles to make the black outline, it stayed at x pixels wide when I resized for the preview. I’m too lazy to recalculate all that stuff so here’s the actual image size I’ve been working at.
I finally got around to watching The Boy With The Cuckoo Clock Heart since I read the book in French a little while ago, and I’m glad to report that it was just as confusing as the book was. That’s French literature for you. The soundtrack was really great though.
Anyway, I like eyepatches so here’s Joe. I hope my French isn’t butchered here, but it’s supposed to say “Ever since that day, the tic-toc of clocks anger me.”
